Located in the southeast of La Pampa Province, only 11 km. from Guatraché and 192 km. from Santa Rosa, is the recreational Park "Samuel Novick", a Provincial Protected Area comprising the Guatraché lagoon. Framed by this captivating, natural environment of valleys and stream-watered woods is situated the Guatraché Thermal Park.
The thermal properties of the water together with the chemical composition of mud allow for treatments like hydrotherapy, mud therapy and masotherapy. A complex of comfortable shacks and a restaurant, famous for its top-level gastronomy, supplement this specifically thermal attraction.
Such hypothermal waters show a PH of 7.10, emerging naturally at 32º C. Surveys indicate a high concentration of salts, chlorides, sulfates, calcium, magnesium and marine algae, containing 330 gr. of salt every litre of water.
As for mud - a combination of clay, biological elements, plants and animals, namely fungus and bacteria - is applied to different skin care treatments, including exclusive beauty sessions.
Since no external agent might affect or diminish the power of these waters, it could be claimed that they constitute a natural chemical lab, creating its own properties.
The presence of Dunaliella Salina algae, first found in Argentina and frequently used in cosmetology, is applied to supplementary beauty care treatments.
