Due to its strategic situation in the country, Santa Rosa is an important urban and tourist center of La Pampa Province.

The Art Museum is remarkable for its comprehensive art gallery of national artists such as Soldi, Berni, Basaldúa, Quinquela Martín, Castagnino, José Torres, Salazar Luna, Filippo Montalto and Antonello L´Abatte and works of world-class local artists. Other destinations to visit are the Natural History Museum, where indigenous and exotic flora and fauna are reflected through its varied exhibition halls, and the Paleontology and Anthropology Room.
The Provincial Historical Archive is a faithful sign of the Province´s significant history in its entirety, while the Municipal Center of Culture offers diverse and renewed art expressions.
The "Teatro Español" (Spanish Theatre), opened in 1908, is one of the most beautiful halls in the country. Its present style is recognized and admired by artists from all over the world. Some of its distinct features are the stage´s aryatids, the arcades´ medallions, the balconies´ laurels, the pilasters´ capitals, and other ornamentations of the Baroque period. Some of the events performed are: "Zarzuelas" (traditional Spanish operettas), operas, live music recitals, plays, lectures, among others.
The Cathedral; The Sanctuary "Nuestra Señora de Fátima" and the Monastery of the "Carmelitas" nuns, at which the image of Saint Mary Virgin of La Pampa is revered; Nazaret´s House, a place for spiritual exercises.
The Recreational Center "Don Tomás" is the best option to enjoy the most varied outdoor water and sports activities within the city.
The Craft Market sets at your disposal high quality products made of leather, wood, wool, among others, manufactured by pampean craftsmen.
