Bernardo Larroude
Located in the north of La Pampa Province, this town borders on Buenos Aires to the east and on Córdoba Province to the north. Founded on April, 8, 1908, it was built-up on former “Santa Elvira Colony”, a stretch of land which had formerly belonged to Marcelo T. De Alvear, named after his mother.
Spanish, Italian, as well as Arabian immigrants, among others, arrived in search of new fortunes, creating a melting pot of cultures and races, which would later on add an air of distinction and dignity to the future of the whole region.
In 1969, after the fruitless attempt to obtain drinking water, our city was suddenly blessed with God´s hand: Bernardo Larroudé´s hot springs had emerged to the surface. The therapeutic properties of these waters were used by local settlers to heal different ailments. News spread rapidly in those days and the town soon became an oasis for future tourists.
Today, thanks to the effort and fighting spirit of all the authorities that have ruled our community, our Thermas comprise a vast and wooded area provided with grills, rest rooms, housing shacks and restaurant, in addition to the thermal complex, located in the core ofa 6 ha. Park. Immersion baths, body massage, mud applications (mudpacks), hydromassage, are some of the services available.
Bernardo Larroudé Thermal Springs. Direct entry from any geographical spot in the country. Situated on National Highway Nº188. A tiny town with yet a huge heart to welcome tourists from all over the world.
